I was considering purchase of a BX22. I plan to do field mowing (bush hog) on a 2 acre lot also. The BX23 is reported to have cruise control. Current price on the BX22 is $16,000. Does anyone know what the price will be on the new BX23. Also would the cruise control be worth the wait? The dealer projected Jan. 2004.

There is a discussion on another website that says the only difference between the BX23 and the BX22 is a new engine guard, and that the cruise control is only offered on the BX2230.

My dealer told me there was also a new seat and less vibration at idle and that I would have to wait until Jan or Feb to buy one, I went ahead and bought the BX22 and so far its great. I have a few acres and mowing was easy. I didn't notice a problem with vibration, it vibrates a little more at idle than at higher rpm's, but it's minimal.

I've not found to many places that cruise is worth it at all if you are driving! There are always holes, divits, dead furrows, stones, and other hazards on the lawn that barring my right leg being cut off would I feel a need for cruise if I'm getting the most from the tractor and equipment. A hydro when being used is good for about a 20% horsepower gain compared to a gear drive and I certainly would be using the tractor transmission to it's advantage. ....
